Cool Changed the plug and it fired-up "Service engine soon light" went out. Drove it for about a block. Ran good. Parked the car. . My wife took it to the store. She said the service engine soon light came on right away. And the noticeable miss cam back. Swapped the 1 and 3 cyl. coils and swapped the 1 and 5 plug wires. Went back to Autozone had the code checked and still 1 cyl. not firing. Put a timming light on #1 cyl it shows that it is getting power to the plug. I looked at the old plug and took it back with me when I returned to Autozone. Turns out I can't get the OEM plug from anyone so I used the replacement plug recomended by the Chevy dealer (AC 41-985). It gaps at .045. The old plug gaps at .060. Repulled the new plug and checked the gap. It was .030 so I set it to .045. I may have banged up the point on the plug a little. Put it back in no change.

So. Does anyone know for sure which cly. is #1? I worked on the front passenger side plug. Front being closest to the grill.
Pulling the new plug looked like it was fireing.
Any ideas?

I have since found out that #1 is on the drivers side. Did all the same things to the real #1 with no difference. So my guess is the injector.

Can anyone tell me how to take the injector out and clean it? Or how to swap injectors to see if the missfire moves?
