My stereo has stopped playing music or making any sound whatsoever, I've checked all the cables and they all look fine, I don't have a multimeter so can't test the voltage. Any suggestions to what it can be? I don't want to buy new speakers for them not to work. Thanks.

It's not my specialty but you should at least be able to tell if it gets power and ground if doing nothing right now. 12v plain test lights and cheapo analog multimeters can be bought for around $10 bucks, maybe less depending on where.

Can't know specifics - unit may have a fuse inside it and papers for it should say so. If you don't have all that and can't test so much as a fuse send it out or get the stuff,

Would be really odd for all your speakers to be bad at the same time.
Do your speakers run through an amplifier or do the speakers connect directly to the radio?
As Tom stated, does the radio power up?

The radio all powers up and yeah it runs through an amp.

Have you checked to see if the amp is getting power and ground and turning on? One simple trick it to remove one speaker channel from the amp and then take one of the inputs and connect that directly to the speaker channel. If the speaker plays, something is up with the amp. If not, you'll need to go to the radio and do some checks.
