Brand new JVC stereo acting wierd, reverts to initial set up screen Sign In

2006 Ford F150Best Buy recently installed JVC stereo, KW-V250BTStereo randomly displays initial setup screen and all the station and EQ pre sets are erased. Took it back and the tech could find no issues. They put in a new unit. The new unit has now done the same thing. Random, after 3,4 start ups will display initial set up screen and run demo of radio features.Has anyone experienced this?

We don't really have any stereo experts here but the basics here are there are 2 power sources to the stereo, one that is switched by the ignition switch to operate the radio itself and a second feed with constant power that keeps the memory alive.

I would check into what power source they used for the memory because if it something that gets interrupted even for a split second it can cause the radio to lose memory.

The bottom line is that you won't find your solution here and your issue is with BestBuy. I would get it back to them. They are supposed to be the aftermarket stereo experts, at least they are supposed to be.

Not my game either and would only consider a unit that has an available plug to ONLY use what plug and antennae the OE one used. Essentially then a plug and play something.
The demo mode just for another comment: Bought a GPS that just plugs into any power port or works without a vehicle just keep charging it now a while ago. Was the demo. Same thing it worked to test and defaulted to bragging about it mode "demo" so back and back. The store couldn't make it quit doing that? Another person gave me theirs that ended.
Came to lean myself that mode has to be pithed out when sold or given away that thing was a procedure of holding in a paper clip smaller than ordinary one out of sight it should reset it to YOUR settings and stay there.
As for other anything it's just one by one just how you do that. If flipping "Best Buy" doesn't have total info on this thing and where you got here they say they'll install it or find who does. I suggest you pay for that it's a trade unto itself with a super strong bet some are not going to work ever with certain OE wiring also in control of other vehicle features and info you would be screwed.
Other is don't touch anything but ground and two power sources one to maintain memory as HT said the other only when vehicle power is on up to running totally separate wire for every other thing! Not good IMO even for a dang truck no longer trucks by original definition,
