I have a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE with a stock Delco radio. I'm trying to install an aftermarket CD player. I bought the wiring harness kit for a '94 Pontiac Sunbird LE but its nowhere near the same size or shape for the plug that plugs into the Delco radio. I'm not even sure if the CD player is supposed to replace my stock radio or cassette player.

If you have the correct installation wiring harness, the harness will plug right into the one that is in the car now. The installation harness is made to go in between the stock harness and the harness that plugs into the back of the new stereo. The wires on the new stereo and the installation harness usually match, but if they don't, the instructions from the instillation harness and the instructions from the aftermarket radio will need to be matched up.

The best way to replace it to get a authorised kit which is compatible to the Control panel.

So there may be a range in price but you will get the best
