clacking noise when started and while driving	Sign In

I have a 2003 Saturn L300, with less than 115,000 miles, and recently every time I start my car it makes this loud clacking sound. It also continues to make that noice if I rev the engine and while I am driving. It seems like it does it while changing gears, whether going up or down in speed.

Could be a zillion things. Wild guess as a maybe for now is a heat shield or something with exhaust?? Try tapping on tail pipe or exhaust pipes with a rubber hammer and see if that can make it show up - engine off,

could be a motor or tranny mount
