There's a very loud intermittent buzzing sound at idle. Usually when it's hot. I have a video of it. I haven't found a mechanic that ever heard this sound before. Help please!

Here's the link to hear the sound

Link doesn't show easily have to use an older version on my device is here should click now > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIrFK4Vx-QY < Nope??
Try this > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIrFK4Vx-QY < Yup? 8 seconds of a click????

#1. It's just 8 seconds of almost nothing so forget it. If techs can't duplicate it in person doubt the web is going to help or is that what you send them?

Not enough to go on + noises are always tough. At best my guess is low or inadequate voltage to some relay in dash doesn't help much either I know.

With this or any car site you try for goodness sake say what the car is! I saw Honda's mark on a steering wheel is it. That just zooms in on millions of cars or SUVs out there?

Good luck, again if in person isn't helping this isn't without a seriously long description of other observations when it happens,

Tom

David,
It's hard or impossible as we/I can't know what each other's device is like or what is blocked from my view or isn't from yours?

Site wasn't secure I let it show anyway.

Electrical buzz sounds as I said? Low voltage is one cause as in WHEN you ask for starter motor (largest load on battery/electrical system) items don't behave. OMG there's tons of stuff in a dashboard most disabled just for the moment you ask for starter when lights come on dash only but a horn would still work for example.

This kind of thing if no other device you have on this is enabled makes it so hard.

YOU have to say or show you are asking it by turning key triggers the noise not some video.

What if anything is aftermarket in this? Those are suspect as they get hacked into live wire without knowing what else it was for - sound systems, alarms or something you leave in a power port only some enabled 100% of the time varies.

Best is in person that didn't work out or I should say "yet."
It's hard - you said a tech didn't have a clue so try another tech if time sees the stuff that doesn't belong if applicable at all to this.

There isn't much that's supposed to buzz in any vehicle was ages ago now on purpose annoying buzzers were used to warn you for keys left in it and door open or just a few other things.
They dumped that in almost all vehicles as too annoying and was intended. Not the case with this so I said it's low voltage to a relay or something a fault with something or power (electrical) isn't enough with another item drawing too much?

Open book - has to be witnessed, worse it has to do it all the time or just lost for now to find it, then WHY it's doing that.

Best I can do,

:-) Tom
