Hello all! I am driving a 2001 Ford Focus 5 SPD with about 93K on it. When I first get going on a cold morning, I hear a grinding noise coming from the passenger side wheel. I can feel it a bit in the steering wheel and accelerator pedal. The noise goes away when the car warms up; this whole mess only started recently when the mornings began to get colder. The grinding noise doesn't seem to change with speed, but does become more pronounced when I hit a bump. I initially thought CV or wheel bearings, but the fact that it doesn't change with speed and is more of a grind than a click or squeal is making me reconsider. I read somewhere that damaged brake pads can cause similar symptoms, and I was thinking of replacing the rotors and pads anyway. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or input. Thanks!

Temp sensitive or a bump?! IDK - perhaps a brake issue, T
