Power steering pump started whining following tensioner & belt replacement

I have a 1999 Chrysler Town & Country. Yesterday I replaced the Idler pulley, Tensioner (pulley only) and the serpentine belt. After getting everything all put back together, I of course started it up to make sure everything was working and it ran nice and smooth with no chirping or whining noises. Then this morning, when I started it up, there was a brief chirp or squeal noise right as it fired up. It's not a continuous noise, just one quick little chirp and that's it, but it happens every time the car is started. Then, once I drove it, I noticed the power steering pump is now whining when the wheel is turned to either side (don't have to turn it very far before the noise starts). I checked the fluid level, but it's still full and the steering still feels smooth. Prior to doing the repairs yesterday, the P/S pump never made any noise. So, did I do something wrong, or is it a coincidence that my P/S pump chose today to start going bad?

Love the user name.................LOL I can't picture any way you could have caused that by changing a belt. What was the reason the belt was changed in the first place. I'd more suspect that the issue was there before and there is a problem that hasn't been located yet, possibly in the power steering. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
