1999 Honda Civic Issues Sign In

Yesterday, I had my mechanic change my driver side cv axle, both my sway bar bushings, my front brakes, and my front rotors.
The reason why I changed my cv axle and my sway bar bushing is because he told me the clunking noise I have been hearing would stop if I did so. So, I did. After he replaced everything, I still hear the same exact noise that I did last time. He told me it will take some time for the parts to break in since they are brand new but I don't buy it because new parts should not make the same sound as old parts.
I am really upset and I don't know what to do about this issue. If I knew the sound would continue, I would not have bought the new part or even had him fix it.
Why do I keep hearing this sound and what could be the problem?
Please help! I am VERY frustrated right now.

Thank you

NO - These parts don't need to break in. Can't say for sure on noises but obviously it wasn't what was replaced and you should bring that up AGAIN with the place as THEY said doing all that would stop the clunking and IMO knew it would but guessed wrong what was making the noise,

I don't know what to do. I also have an oil leak so we went to the car wash together to power wash off all the gunk on my oil pan and motor so we can later diagnose where the car is leaking from, but now when I'm at about 3,500 RPM and the car is switching into second gear, I hear a loud knock in the motor.
How bad is that

Something went wrong with your post attempt? I'll add anyway that it's possible that a CV joint was really suspect for the noise and the brakes just noticed that they were ready. I'm not there hearing it which is the world vs being away from the actual noise, when and what makes it worse or better.

If CV joint sometimes you really aren't so sure if noise is slight which one until you have it out and can feel the flaw as the joints themselves are hidden by rubber boots to SEE a flaw if otherwise OK.

Most begin with a crackle sound on turns while accelerating some what and quiet down going straight ahead but not all are typical like that.

You have a beef with just the fact they said these parts need to break in and they absolutely do NOT require break in time.

There's the problem and why you are so frustrated. Again, they guessed wrong and chances of a defective rebuilt CV shaft making exact same noise isn't really likely at all.

IDK - Rock and hard place for you. If you know the work they did do was done you may need to get another opinion on the source of this noise with a bit more surety than was just demonstrated.

You really shouldn't ignore a noise either as it could be something quite serious warning you??

Your post was there while I was typing. Check all fluids at once. Find out NOW what it leaking and making that noise no matter what. If this place messed up that bad on something you need to figure out what corrective action is your best choice,
