While I accelerate my 2001 s10 it is really jerky as if the abs is fighting back. I took it to have the codes read and it said not reading module brake system, left tire or right tire speed. Anybody have any ideas!

Pickup or Blazer? Which engine? Does this have traction control? Are all the tires the same diameter?

A little confusing...
not reading brake module?
BUT left and right tire speeds?
Is the ABS light on?
ARE you sure its NOT trans issue?
Post ALL the codes you recovered...... EVERYTHING -
FYI :The ABS may require a special scanner can you confirm the scanner ABS capable?

I don't remember I'm gonna read them again tonight and right them down, I haven't noticed an ABS light just the service engine light! I'll post again later thanks for replying!

c0222 c0226 missing LF and RF ABS speed signals
C0263 Open Or Shorted Pump Motor Relay
Probable Cause - Open or short circuit condition
- Poor electrical connection
- Faulty relay
- Faulty ignition switch
- Faulty EBCM
The P codes someone else may post GTG.... do not ignore them

Don't think the ABS system is causing your problem. The code you need to focus on is the P0300. You need to determine which cylinders are misfiring and why. You'll need a high end scanner to look at misfire data.

The scanner I borrow was like $250 does that sound high-end enough?

Probably not. You need a high end scan tool that has the capability of accessing the manufacture's side of the PCM to view misfire information.

I do not understand - concentrate on P0300??? did I miss something- OP feels like brakes are "fighting back"
And showing an ABS pump code -
start there- eyeball ear check of ABS relay. -longer to type than do.
Then with scanner look at wheel sensor data- are they 'reporting' - select RF then spin tire- voltage yes/np?
coffee is still hot and some data to add to problem solving :) only in NJ would that be a days work.

He has a code for a pump motor relay. On a GM the relay is incorporated into the EBCM so the whole ABS system is dead in the water and inoperable. The speed sensors aren't going to much matter.
