Sounds like you need to pull that wheel and caliper and get it out. Use a clean rag and some brakleen to clean up those pads and rotor. ____________________________________________________ Willing to help, willing to learn... Rob

By the time you get to the shop the tape will be melted and smeared off. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

I wouldn't expect a shop to spend a lot of time cleaning your mess either. You can expect an estimate for new parts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Arggh. If all you did was move the car you are probably all set to remove tape in place with caliper removed. I'm reading into this that you don't know how to do that so don't. Too late but why the heck did you remove the wheel which you would have to, to tape off rotor then put it back on to paint? Tow it to a shop before it's burned in. Decent masking tape should just remove and already said BrakeKleen (brand name) should remove any goo left, caliper off and clean pads too as needed. If burned in new parts would be in order, T
