Year of vehicle 1992 Make of vehicle Honda Model of vehicle (Accord) (LX) Mileage 200,000 Hi, I'm new to this site. First, I'd like to say I think it is such an awesome idea. Very cool. Second, My problem is the paint. I've seen this problem before, but I am curious as to what causes it and how to stop it. I notice it the most after I wash the car. So, it makes me think washing it, makes it worse... which also doesn't make sense. Maybe washing it just shows the problem more clearly? Anyways, I'm sure this is a easy question to resolve, I am just not very car savvy. Thanks guys * The picture below isn't my car, but its the same problem.

I'm not an auto body technician but if like that in the pic the clear-coat is kaput. Basically it would need a new paint job - no fast fix for something like that, T

Yep, Tom is correct. The sun has destroyed the clear coat. That's a very common thing down here in Florida. The Blues, Reds and Silvers are the worst. It would have to be totally stripped and done over with a quality paint. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
