my kickdown cable is not hooked up on my truck and someone told me that it will rob some of the power. could someone please tell me how to hook it back up? i have an aftermarket edelbrock carb so i dont know if that would make a difference on how it hooks up.

Computers are clever but they don't know what you are working on!

If a replacement doesn't have a place to hook up a kick down cable it's missing something or is the wrong part. You need that hooked up and working properly,

How long has the carburetor been on the vehicle? If you have the paperwork, it should have instructions in it to hook up all linkages. If paperwork is not available, you may need to take it to a shop where someone can actually see the carburetor.
