LOOKING FOR INFO Can't Post

I HAVE A 1999 CHEVY S-10 WITH SOME SORT OF STARTER PROBLEM. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE WAS ANYONE OUT THERE WITH A WIRING SCHEMATIC FOR THE STARTER. ANY INFO WOULD BE APRRECIATED. THANKS

What are the symptoms?
If it’s not cranking you could start by checking if you have power being sent to the starter solenoid’s "S" terminal while the ignition switch is in the start position. The "S" terminal is the small bolt on connector at the starter itself. If you do then you would know that the wiring to the switch, through the neutral safety switch and relay are ok.
Make sure before you begin checking anything that the battery is fully charged and capable of delivering the necessary power to get a starter motor turning. Starters need anywhere from 200 to 300 amps to initially start cranking an engine, so even if your radio, lights and other things still seem to be working, the battery could still be to weak to crank the engine.
