I unfortunately broke off a couple of my 1999 Altima's valve cover bolts. I am having a hard time trying to get the broken bolts out for one. On top of that dilemna, I am having an even harder time locating new bolts. My local dealership can order them for me, but in the end I am going to end up paying about $40 for a couple of bolts. Can I safely substitute the Nissan OEM bolts for a generic set? Will they work?

I have done that for years on different makes...never had a problem, but head bolts is another story, always buy the better grade.
