'98 vw jetta tdi, need to replace rear bushing for front contol arm. it looks like i need to drop the subframe to get to it. any ideas on how to do it??Smile

You might want to check a quality, full service shop that does alignments - which you may want anyway when it's done. They have powerful air tools and some of these bushings are indexed and need (if barbed center) to be installed in the correct position for proper performance.

That just might be a bargain for a repair that you probably would only have to do once,
