I have an '89 F250 Diesel. In order to start a have to slam the clutch pedal to the floor (and beyond). The book says the hydraulic clutch should not need adjusting. How can I remedy this? There seems to be too much play in the pedal.

I'm pretty sure the neutral safety switch on this is judged like a brake light switch for the clutch pedal travel itself. It should be adjustable to allow starting without totally buring the pedal. Take a look for a two wired button switch, T
