mitsubishi, Tight or loose? Quote | Reply

I have a box of 1st generation 3000gt lifters. They are very tight(when i squeze them by hand).I also have a box of 3rd generation lifters which looks kinda of worn,When i squeze them they are really flexiable. They both are used, but they were given to me and i need lifters. Is a Tighter lifter better or should a lifter be loose?
