Been working with Kia lately, since they won the JD Power award on their Rio. Wanted to get some perspective on what you all thought about it -seems like they’re trying to get into the game and throw some pressure into the car market. What do you think? For me, it seems to be one of the few smaller cars that I wouldn’t mind having if they’re as good as the award says…

My Dad Recently purchased a kia Amanti ? IT IS a sharp looking car . His only complaint is
the gas mielege is falling 8 Miles short of its mark .He should be getting 18 to 20 and is only getting 12 to 14 MPG the service tech says to allow time for the car to break in . we will see overall he does like the comfort and ride.

Gas mileage is SO dependant on your driving habits. The expected mileage is supposed to be a standard test for ciy and highway and some will do better or worse than that. I do worse as I drive a mile or two at a time. But i do get what I expect if I check on a long drive.

If this car is driven the same as an older one perhaps that did better then I would bring that up as a warranty problem to be checked out. Keep track of it for the record, T
