Oh boy - Winter sure came in with a vengence for most of North America.

Cool trick - when you are stuck in a parking space or whatever, try turning the wheels first, and then a cool trick is to use your brakes!! Tap on the brake pedal and it just may transfer power to a wheel with better traction. Works like magic especially with anti-lock brakes. If you are in real trouble - your floor mats can help get you out. You may need to get new ones but it can help. Keep blankets and water with you and have a full tank of fuel.

The floor mats worked for me in the ice. Husband wasn't to happy but he would have been more upset with a dent.

It's an old trick but it really can work. Details with you husband may be more difficult T

Or you can do it the way my next door neighbor does it. Burn the tires until the ice melts underneath. He does this every time. Then in the spring he asks me about alignment problems because his tires seem to be "prematurely wearing". HE GETS THE "BIG L" AWARD. LOL
I just tell him that it's a loose nut behind the wheel!

Oh C'mon Steve. Don't you know that putting the gas to the floor and spinning the wheels at 200 MPH is the way? The smoke and bits of tires will eventually create traction Then you get the job of fixing a blown up differential or just tires.

I use that statement "Problem is loose nut behind the wheel" and Massachusetts seems to renew a driver's liscense for anyone with the money.

We wouldn't have a traffic problem here if they simply gave the driving test again. Just imagine half the folks would fail and actually have to learn how to drive! T

LOL Steve i like that a loose nut behind the wheel, most people would be like of really, I'm going to need to get that fixed.... Could you imagine someone coming into your shop and saying I was told that I have a loose nut behind the wheel and I want to get that fixed, what would you do.....




BG4X4 I liked the quick thinking about using the car mats, granted its not the best use for them but, it would work

I think that I would laugh so hard the customer would just walk out wondering what MY problem was.
