Stripped Transmission Pan Drain Bolt Can't Post

I've just been draining the auto transmission fluid on my 6 cylinder 95 Cherokee (150K miles) and when going to put the drain bolt in find it just turning and turning. I thought I was being careful but I guess I stripped it somehow? Anyone have any ideas? If I can get the bolt out can I put some kind of antisieze on this or do I need to hope I can get enough fluid in there to drive it to a local shop to get the pan replaced?
