Need transmission suggestions Can't Post

The transmission in my 87 suburban just recently went out. Im looking for some suggestions as to what might be my best yet economical approach to replacing it. Also any ideas as 2 where I could purchase a new/used transmission for the money.

The most dependable repair is to have it rebuilt by a good shop. I've used some used transmissions with some good luck as some of the junkyards near me are pretty good at knowing what is good. If 2WD this may be a fairly easy job with a used one. If you farm out the job there will be no warranty on labor if a used one isn't right. What are your intentions - are you going to do this youself? - T
