2004 chevy silverado Can't Post

On my way home from work..indicator light comes on and reads "transmission hot"....so i pull over ...check the fluid and its WAY to full...just had fluids checked 3 weeks ago and all was well ,... now transmission is slipping, wont shift.
Thought i would drain..flush? refill and hope for the best....
Any advice would be much appreciated.

"Way too Full!" How did it get that way? Not good. Try the service to it but it may end up with an overhaul by the symptoms you mentioned,
