This morning on my way to work my transmission started to jerk while in first gear, and when I get into overdrive it switches between 4th and 5th gear every few seconds.

It did drop about 20 degrees in temp. this past day, but other than that I'm not sure anything else changed.

update:

After letting it sit in the garage for a few days and the temperature outside is up to 85 degrees, the blazer works fine. Shifts just like before the problems. I'm still not going to drive it until i figure out what is wrong though.

Just for possible help or prevention I'd change the trans fluid and filter if it hasn't been done recently and if you are like most haven't done it at all. If used for towing I do recommend on time trans service,
