Cooling System Freeze/Boil Protection Chart Can't Post

NOTE: EG (ETHYLENE GLYCOL - MOST COMMON PRODUCT) DOES LITTLE TO RAISE BOILING POINTS! THE CHART SHOWS A 15PSI PRESSURE CAP WHICH ACCOUNTS FOR 3 degrees per PSI SO NOTICE THAT THE PRODUCT ISTSELF IS ONLY WORTH 8 degrees IN INCREASED BOILING POINT OVER THE KNOWN 212F AT SEA LEVEL.

NOTE II: ANTI-FREEZE IS A LOUSY COOLANT! IT DOES NOT TRANSFER HEAT AS WELL AS WATER ALONE BUT IS CRITICAL FOR ANTI-CORROSION PROPERTIES AND MORE IN HOT WEATHER. MORE THAN A 50/50 MIX IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE AND PLACES THEY WOULD LIKELY BE.

What bugs me is they stopped putting that on containers on most nowMad This was needed by me earlier today to guess what the new anti-freeze protection would be in a car that was diluted with just water by one quart. With a little math you could figure it out from that chart as I always did.

Also wanted to tell folks that when changing anti-freeze to know the system's total capacity and add exactly 1/2 that in concentrate first as there's always some water left in the engine after flushing unless you drain the block with those plugs too.

I must have been dropped as a baby - who would pay attention to such minute details? Cool
