Unsure Short of it being put there by mistake the common reasons are........automatic trans fluid IF the radiator is used to cool the trans fluid which is an oil, or a head gasket problem. To add to the bummer no matter why or how it gets in cooling system the rubber parts of the cooling system (hoses) will be destroyed possibly even the seal at the water pump - arggh! If early get it flushed out and fixed at once,

like tom said, it depends how many functions your radiator has. is the oil red/marroon colored or jet black.

jet black could be a blown headgasket. also check for bubbling in the radiator filler neck or overflow tank

red/marroon oil could be a trans fluid cooling line burst in the radiator. which spells double trouble since like tom said
1) oil is bad for all your rubber componants.
2) your transmission is now pumping its fluid into the cooling system.
3) oil doesn not cool as well as antifreeze/water so overheating risk is a concern
