It's happened twice in a year in hot weather. Driving down the road and the engine starts missing and the gauges start jumping then it stops running. It will turn over but will not fire. The first time I called a garage to have the car picked up. By the time they got there is started right up and they couldn't find anything wrong. It happened again in the past few weeks. We sat by the road for half an hour. It finally started and we got home. It ran a little rough but now it's running OK again. All the gauges jumping around makes me think it's something electrical, but what? 2.2L 5 speed manual.

i would for sur check your charging system maybe replace your battery and alt intermitten problems hard to find so if you replace the main things that deal with the volts maybe you not have any more problems

Unless it breaks when they have it in their shop the Chevy dealer can't even fix it! We just use it for short trips in the summer.
