Do you mean the fan(s) for the radiator or for the blower for heat and or A/C? The fan for engine could have a bad motor, sensor that tells it when to come on or wiring problem.
If the fan for the engine then with everything off, cool and keys out even and with a stick, carefully see if the fan will turn. Report back on that.
Keep radiator full of proper coolant, run heater full blast if need be and DON'T let it overheat again (boil over) as that could cause real damage. Check oil now also as overheating may have used some up too depending on how bad things got,
