Alright....Tom & friends, I got a 97 ford aspire, with the codes.... p1402 -egr metering orfice restricted p1195 -scp hbcc chip failed to initialize po470 -exhaust pressure sensor malfunction
to tell the truth, I'm slightly lost on the understanding of (these) codes... ??????????
The 1402 and 470 may be related to the EVP sensor. Both of them have to do with the EGR flow. The 1195 is for barometric pressure circuit, bit it gets its information from the EGR boost sensor. Any help there????
Yea....I think, when it comes to the egr sensors and parts off.....I about draw a blank. I'm so use to the old ones, they simply clog or have a vacuum leak, so theres a chance that one sensor is setting off the other codes?
It is a real possibility. You may want to check wiring also. Was going to post tests for 1402, but it had over 45 steps. Lot of cutting and pasting and downloading. I would look at the EVP/DPFE sensor first.
W20...THANKS FOR THE HELP, I did some investigating on the codes, its confusing when there are different definitions for the same codes. P1402-EGR VALVE POSITION SENSOR P1195-BARO PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT MALFUCTION PO470-EGR BOOST SENSOR
On inspection I discover the EGR valve position sensor electrical connection was unhook/ plus the strong smell of exhaust fumes which might be throwing the 02 sensor off,.....erased all codes now comes the fun part, finding the drive cycle info. On one more note the air bag light keeps blinking in code 3 blinks pause then 2 more blinks....would you have any ideas about that?
I appreciate that,...If you're calling that fun, then I'm having the time of my life......whoooopppeee and I got a sh*t load of it waiting on me....anybody want to switch places?
