Hi guys & thanks in advance for any advice you may have for me.
My girlfriend's '98 Mirage (140k miles) sprung a radiator leak this morning and overheated. She said she drove it hot for about mile to get from the freeway to her work. I replaced the radiator & drove the car & it ran ok except for a bit of a rough idle. It was running ok when driving. After driving it for about 5 miles, I stopped & filled up with gas. Once I started to leave the gas station it began to sputter & stalled out. Now the idle is super rough and it stalls when I put it in gear. I also noticed white smoke from the exhaust while it was idling. Does this sound like a blown head gasket or something else? Any advice will be appreciated since we really would like to get some more life out of this car. Thanks.

These Mitsubishi heads are easy to warp.....and it does sound like a blown head gasket, have you checked the coolant level lately and also the engine oil to see if its over fill?,......some signs of blown gasket.

I would take the one you got and have a machine shop check it out before making any jumps...these heads can be costly, if any repairs are a option it would be worth considering.
