GM has had a problem with this...one or more of the gauges stick,flutter or become inoperative..
The problem is in the instrument cluster itself and needs replacement...
Gm has extended the warranty on these to 7 yrs/70,000 miles whichever comes first thru a special policy...
Contact your local Chevy dealer for assistance...ref.. bulletin # 07187
