I’m going to suggest having the charging system tested.
When the rear defrost is turned on, it puts an extra load on the electrical system; lowering system voltage.
In turn the voltage regulator feels this load witch it then steps up the alternator’s output. In other words the alternator has to begin working harder to keep the system voltage up and the battery charged.
Even thou you’re not having a problem with the battery going dead; a portion of the alternator might be beginning to fail and is only noticeable (your static) when the alternator is working harder?
