Is it my starter? Can't Post

My check engine light on my Subaru came on at 150,000 miles. At about the same time, I noticed that it might take a couple turns of the key to get the engine to turn over. Now, my car is more and more stubborn about starting, and it is not the battery. When I turn the key, I just hear a click. After a few tries, it always starts, but it is getting less reliable. Is this a starter problem, and what do I need to do about it? How much $ is a new starter, installed?

That's kind of classic for a bad starter. Bad connections should be ruled out. Follow your pos battery cable - it goes right to the starter. Don't know but it may not be a hard one to replace. As for price I don't know. If you try this -- have some tools and leave battery disconnected. Good luck - T
