wonder if anyone can help me on this - I have a Ford Focus Mk 1 1999 manual and the speedometer sometimes does not work. Can anyone suggest what the cause of this could be. Would be grateful for any replies.

It sounds like a bad speed sensor

Thanks dave284 for replying - I reckoned it was that too. I took out the plug and put some WD40 in the sensor connection - will see what happens tomorrow.
