i have a 1986 monte carlo ss a put a sony explode flip head unit and it will not save memory after the car has bine turn off

There has to be one wire to new radio that always has power for memory. The original did and find that wire. Best to use that one or go directly to fuse box for constant power but I suggest everything be on a fuse. That one shouldn't need more than a 2.5 amp fuse or at least just a low amp fuse. The directions with the new system should tell you which wire. A test light would be real handy to find the orig constant power wire. T
