I have a JVC KS-FX202, it's been working fine for several years, but last week, every single control button has stopped working, it will however, still play cassettes, but i can't change the volume etc.
can anyone give me a clue as to how i might fix this please

As I say to most - REPLACE IT - Stereo's are too tricky to go and try and figure out what is wrong. There are a million components to them and they are picky bits of technology. If they break, its usually due to wear and tear, and apart from taking it to a stereo specialist, the best way to fix it, is to replace it

I guess i was hoping that because the failure was total, there might be a simple reason for it, ie a fuse. however, i take your point, i come from the school of old fashioned goods that could be fixed with a spoon. i guess times have changed...:(
