I have a Samurai with a Pioneer KE-1730-B radio that works fine but will not hold the preset stations for more than a few minutes after the ignition is switched off. It is a detachable model. designed to be removed fromn the car for safety. Presumably there is a rechargable battery that maintains the station memory when you take it out and this may be failing. Any ideas for repair? I could put in another radio as it is a little archaic but it seems a pity to junk it and have the hassle of fitting something newer and more stealable!
