The stereo in my mother's 1993 Cadillac Deville does not play. I have checked the fuses and tested the connectors with a test light. There is power to the unit and the fuses appear to be intact. Should I replace the unit or are there some common malfunctions to search for? Thanks.

Hey mate, this could be a "end of life" issue. The unit would be 15yrs old and over time components tend to stop working. I would replace unit.

No worries, just a bit of advice, DON'T BUY ONE OFF EBAY. Get one from a store and thoughroughly us the salesman for their knowledge. make sure the new stereo is what you want and is right for the vehicle. Your Mama don't need a JVC Camilion, or an Alpine touchscreen with Sub controls. You know what I mean.
