High Water -> Funny Noises Can't Post

I drove my 2000 Camry though a bit of high water on the way home from work today. Immediately after hitting the high water, the car started making a "funny" noise - it sounds kind of like a helicopter or a lawnmower and the car vibrates heavily. The car continued making the noise all the way home.

Here's the the other thing - after I got home, I discovered that the car makes the noise even when the engine is not on. That is, when I turn the key one notch to turn on just the accessories and electrical systems, the car begins making the lawnmower noise and vibrating heavily.

Any idea what's going on? Is it safe to keep driving the car, or do I need to get it into the shop ASAP?

Thanks

Check cooling fan to see if it is bent.
