Truck stalls after about 20 minutes of driving. Let it cool down 30-45 minutes. It starts and runs for about 10 minutes or so. I checked codes and gave 32,33,42,and 43. 32 says EGR valve - replaced it. 33 says map sensor - replaced it. 42 says ignition control circuit check wiring and connectors between ignition module and ECM. Replaced ignition control module. 43 says electronic spark control. Did not replace this yet but its $75.00 already spent $150 and now it is blowing blue smoke out driver side tail pipe. Just had the motor rebuilt 1 1/2 years ago. .30 over on the pistons, over sized cam, timing is set at 4 degrees with EST unplugged. I replaced the coil and the ECM. None of this has helped. Now I am erasing the codes and will get any now ones that may be there now. UnimpressedUnimpressed

Now that i erased the codes. Now its only showing 43 which is spark control module. Took it for a test drive had a hard time trying to start it. Had to floor the gas pedal and ease out of it to keep it running. Took about 60 seconds of running really bad the steady it out and now its running fine. What it going on? I'm sure that i will be back on here in a week or so.

Blue smoke out one side's tail pipe! I'd be checking hard mechanical items starting with a compression test noting if just that bank of plugs are oiled up or even one compared to other bank as well,

Blue smoke would make me go towards the c-test Tom recommended as well. You may have more than electrical issues at play here.

You need to find out what is missing when it doesn't want to start.

That means checking for fuel pressure, injector pulse, and spark when it doesn't want to start.

Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Lots of good help going on so I'm just gonna add a quick tip here.

When you get codes, that doesn't mean that actual part is bad, it means that circuit is having a problem. If you aren't familar with the system, there are flow charts to follow for each code to determine if that particular part is in fact defective or if the problem lies in the wiring or else where.....

Ok the blue smoke has gone away from just driving it about 50 miles. Maybe it was just a build up of oil in one cylinder. It is also driving great. Thank you for the help and i will be on here if it starts to act up again.
