I have a 99' chevy 2500, when the security light is on truck will start fine, when it's blinking it will not start! Here's the problem, i do not have a security system in the truck, have had it to the shop, they say it's in the computer and no way to override it. any help out there?

Just a wild guess ------ try disconnecting the battery neg for a while and see if that helps. That should clear out possible misinformation in the computer. If real fault exists it will pick it up again. Hopefully someone will have an easy answer for you. Also try reading the owner's manual about what the system is all about - it may have a clue even if dealer didn't! Good luck,
