redused engine power

I have a 2003 chevy silverado 1500 HD 6.o
when driving it every now and then i get a redused engine power on the dash messager.
So what is making it do that.

The PCM is finding something wrong with the ETC (electronic throttle control) system. You need to have the PCM scanned for codes. Write down the numbers.
