I have a gmc safari van 2002 , I have removed the dog house and all other stuff like air tubes ect, but cannot see how the $%#@ radio comes out with out the use of chisels and large hammers. (I am a Sewer man by trade)

It's not a real big deal. It comes out through the front after removing the trim bezel in front of it. That may have a couple screws at the bottom but mostly snaps in.

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
  2. Squeeze the clip fasteners on the sides of the radio and pull out.
  3. Disconnect the electrical and the antenna connectors.
  4. Remove the radio from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

  1. Install the radio to the vehicle.
  2. Connect the electrical and the antenna connectors.
  3. Align the mounting clips with the slots in the instrument panel and slide into place.
  4. Install the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
  5. Verify component operation.
