Maybe? Ask at a parts store but I doubt tape. There is a neoprene liquid not always named such on containers for use as liquid electrical tape and for glueing wetsuits for scuba gear. It must say "Neoprene" or it's not going to be fuel resistant/tolerant. Test it first overnight on something else. Watch out for that. Even the silicone sealers won't tolerate permanant exposure to fuel and if not in writing don't trust it.

This is more important than meets the eye. If the hose is very specific for just that van it might need the exact right one. If this hose is part of spark proofing (we forget that sometimes) and grounded it must remain so.

If it really is a generic peice of hose then Marine stores carry that by the foot routinely and the price may still scare you! Some of that you can drive a car over and it won't collapse........

Plain duct tape will give out in a heatbeat by fumes or temp. They do make a metal tape for ducts and for hack rust hole fixing that gets warmer which would be better support for a repair area,

There is a tape that is self amalgamating that you can use. It forms a solid piece of rubber when it is stretched and placed upon itself. Neat stuff. Click here for product.
