Where are the Spark Plugs

2004 Highlander 4 cylinder. I want to change my spark plugs, but can't find them under all the stuff in my engine compartment. I either need some help or maybe one of those sniffer dogs.

I have repaired my own car for years. I rebuilt the engine on my Caravan 10-15 years ago. I think I can put in a set of plugs. However, these cars have gotten a lot more complicated. I was hoping for a little advice.

This isn't your father's Chevy any more. What you did 20 years ago isn't going to help you a bit today. I can't find any pictures of this one but it's probably a DIS system with coils under a cover in the middle of the valve cover. The coils have to be removed to access the plugs under them.
I have to warn you that the questions you ask lead me to believe you could do some damage here so make sure you want to get involved in this.

This is a coil over system. Just pull the engine cover and you'll see the coils going into the V/C. Just becareful not to break the connecters. You may have to pull off the air intake tube to get to #3.

Spark plugs are usually located below spark plug wire . They are easily seen in engine's cover
