Lost ignition key Can't Post

Hello. I have a 1986 Toyota SR5 4WD pickup truck with no ignition keys. I contacted Toyota by email and provided the VIN and it looks like the truck is too old for their database to provide the information to have a dealership parts department cut a new key. I find this incredible as they had computers back then and surely must have scanned hardcopy vehicle info as well for older cars and trucks. Anybody have any ideas short of a locksmith or replacement cylinder and key? Thanks, Pb Sid

Pretty much what I figured....however if there are any psychics or mentalists out there who can divine where the lost keys are hiding, I'm game :)

LMAO - reminds me of the doctor asking if when you broke your leg snow skiing if it was your last run of the dayPirate

'86 Toyota. If no keys found I'd bet the whole lockset for doors and ignition isn't that expensive or difficult.

On the subject of losing keys and the like. Yup - magic. They will be found at the last place which is almost certainly right where you left them - got the T-shirt. Gremlins come and move them and put them back, I'm certain!
