1998 Chevy Silverado lost dash and tail lights on a long drive, still have brake and signal lights, Radio and clook work but no dash lights or tail lights. Looked at all fuses and all seem fine, Please Help, had to use flash light to see speedo and guages for a couple of hours. Thanks Dale

Dale have you check the truck fuses taht are under the dash or even some of the power relays they may have caused this problem... Besides this what other things could you tell us about your problem....

Was it raining? Does your wind shield wipers still work?

Dale I'm interested in what you find out. I am having the same exact problem with my Ford F-150.

Both - by all means check out the fuses - as said by carjunky but with a test light you don't have to remove them.

Also trailer hitch wiring can make for some troubles especially if not a factory wiring job so take a look there. I think dash lights are on the same circuit with running lights in many applications.

It's something to check out till I think of something else, T
