99 Chevy Silverado Z71 Vibration

I'm hoping someone here has an idea of what to do to fix my truck, it has recently started vibrating excessively at speeds of 0-35, smooths out between 35-60, then gets bad again. I do not know where to look for information on this, my repair manuals are too old to help. Does anyone have ideas. The tires are fine, front suspension is fine, I have been under the truck and get some clunking by shaking the front section of the two piece drive line. The truck is a 1500 4wd 179000 miles 5.3L

cowgirl; Both tire/wheel balance and a faulty U-joint can cause the symptoms you are describing. Have both checked. Loren SW Washington

Poking nose in again! If U-Joint and driveshaft components show well know that tire can look fine and NOT be. It's tough to find a flawed good looking tire if the case! Tires don't usually make a "clunk" sound so I doubt that at the moment, T _________________________________________ Long retired now
