97 chevy 454 vortec RESULTS!....Valuable Info. Sign In

SlyWell here's what we found......Again, this 7.4l was missing a cylinder as previously posted by me.

After changing all electrical components, including distributor, pulling and having all 8 injectors cleaned and checked........The NEW distributor cap was internally misfiring. Bought at. Schucks auto supply. It came from Borg Warner too.

All I originally wanted to do was change the cap and rotor.......Truck now runs like a dream.......I'm so happy I can't believe it! Yeh....

Thanks for posting the fix. Sorry that got so involved - bad parts can be a nightmare as we all tend to take them off the suspect list.
