96 chev silverado truck

I have a 96 chev sil trk it just stopped at a stop sign the fuel pump relay is not bad it is trying to start but will not. What can I try before I pay big money to replace the fuel pump?

What makes you so sure that it's even a fuel problem?It doesn't appear that you have tested anything.
Try spraying some starting fluid into the intake and see if it starts momentarily. If it does, then you are going to have to troubleshoot the fuel system using a fuel pressure gauge and a test light.
